This Faculty group was established by the Dean in order to build on the retention research carried out in the Faculty and the subsequent interventions which had been trialled and adopted in several departments. The group, whose membership comprises the Dean and representatives from each department, has been meeting termly since 2003 and has been directly responsible for the introduction of theStudent Support Officer post and indirectly the development of PDPs and the Faculty attendance monitoring project
