BA (Hons) Spanish Studies

Why choose the BA (Hons) Spanish Studies at MMU?

What will I be studying?

You will have the opportunity to use our on-line Spanish course, realspanish.net, designed and produced by our own staff. 

Year 3 will be spent abroad either studying, working, or as a Foreign Language Assistant under the British Council Scheme. If you go as an Erasmus exchange student you will also be eligible to receive extra financial support. You may choose from locations in Spain such as Alicante, Madrid,Seville and Valladolid to name a few. 

In your final year along with language and chosen options you will write a dissertation.

Career Opportunities

Careers may include working as a market research professional, customer support advisor, events organiser, teacher, translator or cultural briefing consultant. Expanding areas for linguists include digital subtitling and dubbing and website localising. Recent graduates have gained employment in banking, local government, cultural relations, education, manufacturing and importing.
