Why choose the BA (Hons) Language (French, German, Italian, Spanish) and Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages at MMU?

What will I be studying?

You will study your chosen foreign language as well as elements of English to Speakers of other Languages (TESOL). The elements on TESOL are made up from a very diverse subject base, and as well as detailed study of the English language itself you will study the latest and most effective techniques and methods of teaching, psychology and learning styles and patterns.

Are there placements?

In your third year whilst on placement in the country of your chosen language you may study at one of our partner institutions but this degree particularly lends itself to spending your year as a Foreign Language Assistant teaching English under the British Council Scheme.

Career Opportunities
