Background

Biography

Lecturer and Senior Lecturer in the Department since 1991, Programme Leader for the  Information and Communications Network (MA Library and Information Management, MSc Information Management, MSC Informatics, BSc Digital Media and Communication, BSc Information and Communications, BA Librarianship, BSc Information Management, BSc Web Development).  Prior to this I was a Senior Knowledge Engineer and Project Manager for Tome Associates Ltd, a natural language interface and expert system development company.

 

Research Interests

Information and knowledge economics and value, organisational behaviour, knowledge management, performance management, library systems.

  • Involved in the HARMONISE project, CERLIM. The HARMONISE project aim was to determine the feasibility of developing a model library system specification.
  • Involved in the CAMILE project (Concerted Action for Management Information in Libraries in Europe)
  • Assistant Project Director for the DECIMAL Project.
